Spiritual Meaning of Recurring Dreams Have your dreams been occurring repeatedly? Do you ever have those dreams that you wake up from asking, "Why do I keep experiencing the same dreams?" The specific meaning of recurring dreams, the warning flags the university is seeing, and what to do about them are all covered in this video. This is Jake Ducey from jakeducey.com. The first idea here is that it might be a premonition of the future, which is something to consider if you've experienced repeated nightmares and are curious as to what they imply. The majority of the time, what occurs in the dream state is a direct conduit of the subconscious essentially telling you what will happen in the future, and this can happen for a number of reasons: it could be to prepare you, it could be to help you say yes to a certain decision that will lead you in this direction, or it could be to reassure you that everything is fine.
Perhaps you want to start a new business, quit your job, or split up with this strange individual. Well, a lot of times that sign from the universe actually comes in the sleep state, so the recurring is basically saying this is what's going to happen, and it really is kind of like you predicting the future; it's almost like a psychic state that you get to enter during sleep, so the first sign of recurring is a premonition of the future. Make A Decision And Change Direction

Number two could be a call to action to make a decision or change directions, positive or negative. I'll give you an example from my own life. I wanted to drop out of college, and I was in college, and I wasn't happy. I felt like I was wasting my time with that. I was learning, I wanted to go vagabond backpack traveling, and I wanted to become a writer, so I thought what better way to do it than to actually do it as opposed to sitting in the classroom, where I was upset and disenfranchised, and so I was directing my energy into bad places. I was partying way too much, and it just wasn't healthy, and one night I had a dream of myself in the future.
If I didn't drop out and I didn't go travel around and I didn't go write my first book, and in this dream, it was me in the future with an alcohol problem, and it was this really unpleasant dream that I was having not like every night but multiple times, and it was a state that I couldn't get out of, and I remember it being lucid enough where I wanted to wake up but I couldn't wake up. So I was in this kind of crappy state where I surrendered my dreams in life and I kind of just exchanged them for, you know, a night on the town on the weekends for a job I didn't really like, and I got my degree from the major that everybody said I should get, and I got this job.
Don’t Let Your Fear Control You
I just kind of escaped my life on weekends, and I basically had a very vanilla life that I didn't love, and I substituted my feelings of lack of fulfillment with alcohol, and it kept happening, and I finally said this is clearly a sign from my higher self saying your life could maybe look like this someday if you keep letting fear control you, and I was letting fear and other people's opinions control me. I finally had the dream enough times, and I journaled about it, and I realized, "Oh my gosh, this is telling me that my life will be unfulfilled." "Even if it's not that exact in the details of the dream, it's a symbolic representation of the direction my life will go unless I do this, and I've got to do it."
That might be happening to you. You might be having a negative dream that isn't that good of a feeling. It's a little like a bad dream. You wake up, and you just kind of get a weird feeling. You're like, "I didn't like that." "I hope I never have that dream again." And then maybe it happens again. It's your subconscious mind giving you a taste of what your life could look like if you don't stand up for yourself, if you don't stand up for your dreams, if you don't leave that one relationship, if you don't start that one idea, if you don't do that thing that you want to do, that you ought to do, or that you feel inspired to do but you're not doing it.
Lessons In Life Will Repeat Until You Learn
It's giving you a taste of what life could look like and inviting you to say yes to yourself in your one and only life, basically reminding you of that old Benjamin Franklin quote where he said that most people actually live until they're 75, but they're buried at 25 years old, meaning most people live on autopilot their whole lives. The third is an old adage that I love that says that the lessons in life will repeat until you learn them because the whole point of life is that you are a spiritual being in a physical body; that's just a fact, and you incarnated here into a body to learn certain lessons for your own evolution as a soul for your own development as a soul, and so you are a spiritual being in a physical body.
Please feel free to leave a comment if you wish. The lessons repeat until you learn them with the wrong guy over and over again, where they keep having that same bad relationship with the new boss over and over again. I'm a spiritual being in a physical body, but this means that if you are incarnated for your own evolution as a soul in this third-dimensional plane of existence, the same general lesson keeps coming up, and it might be about teaching you about money and debt because you keep getting into the same debt problems; it might be about teaching you how to save more money because you keep missing out on opportunities; it might be about teaching you how to save more money because you keep missing out on this opportunity and this opportunity, finally telling you that you need to.
Make A Better Decision In Life
It could be that you keep getting into the same relationships that don't work out, which is ultimately trying to teach you how to breathe and forgive, but you keep running into the same issues and you're not forgiving; or it could be that you didn't have a dad growing up, so you keep getting into these really strange relationships with the men you're dating, and they always end up being unhealthy and abusive, and they keep repeating, but it's always different people. Well, what's happening is that it's almost like the recurring dream is the universe knocking, like, "How do you like my knock by the way it's knocking on the door saying, "Hey, are you ready to learn this lesson this time to improve your life?" "Are you ready?” Because I'm going to keep saying it, and sometimes it saves us a lot of pain by inflicting it on us instead of the universe inflicting it to teach us a lesson in real life; it just does it in the dream state.
So we can maybe grow a little bit quicker and realize I need to make better choices about the guys I'm with or be happy being alone. I don't need to rush into another unhealthy relationship. I need to be better with my money because I keep spending money I don't have and causing the same problems over and over, or it might be over and over with whatever it is that's a very specific detail about your life, and it's the universe trying to say, "Hey, come on, we know you can make the decision that's going to help you more; there's a brighter future on the other side, but first we've got to show you this so that you make a different shift."
