If everything is energy and energy is never created or destroyed, then the only thing that could happen is that it moves to a different frequency pattern of energy. There's a lot of craziness in the world; there always has been, but it seems like in the last 24 months or so, the world's gotten a lot crazier, and it's easy for us to lose connection to the spirit that's always moving to and through us.

Life's Happening For You, Not To You
The only thing that stops us is attachment to our mind and thus attachment to our self as a body, which is collapsing infinite consciousness into one percent of who we are and perceiving it as our true self.
