Who is John Assaraf?
John Assaraf is a world famous speaker, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. He has built five different multi-million dollar companies, penned two NYT bestselling books and worked on 8 movies, including the self development hits The Secret and The Quest For Success.
He is also one of the leading experts in the world on brain research and brain re-training. His work has helped 10's of thousands of people achieve greater success in all areas of life.
He currently works as founder and CEO of NeuroGym, a company focused on leveraging the most advanced technologies and science backed brain training methods to help people unleash their full potential and get maximum results.
Bio and Education
John was born on January 1, 1961 in Tel Aviv, Israel. When he was 6 his family moved to Montreal Canada where he grew up. Having grown up speaking Hebrew, Assaraf was forced to learn 2 additional languages (English and French) in order to get along in Montreal.
This was a huge struggle and led to poor grades and trouble in school. John was bullied and harassed at school leading him to spend a significant amount of time in the principal's office. Eventually he became known as "The Street Kid" as he spent most of his time with a tough crowd of petty criminals.
Hoping to stop the downward spiral his parents sent him to work at a Jewish community center. Here John's eyes were opened to the possibility of a different future. At work he listened to wealthy, highly respected businessmen discussing their ventures. He learned how they made money, how they lost money and most importantly how they thought about money.
At the age of 19 John moved to Toronto to live with his brother. There he met his next mentor, a successful real estate investor. John became laser focused and if 5 weeks he took and passed his real estate exam. His career in reals estate took off and by his second year Assaraf had made $150,000.
Assaraf's Businesses and Real Estate Success
John's real estate career took off when he moved to Indiana. There he joined the fledgling ReMax franchise as one of its 3 employees. Within one year John's focus and determination had grown the staff to 97 sales reps. From there it grew to become one of the most successful branches in the nation with sales of over $6 billion/year.
From there he branched out to form his first company Bamboo.com. Within its first 12 months the company grew to over $10 million per month in revenue and had a very successful IPO. Since then he has gone on to create a total of 5 multi-million dollar companies.
His current focus is on NeuroGym the company he founded to create neuroscience backed training programs for achieving peak performance. NeuroGym applies science-based technologies to help people grow their mental and emotional power so they can reach their highest potential.
